The future of the Well Foods in uncertain. Although Well Foods has a ten year lease, the landlord of the property has plans to turn the block into a 30-housing unit with first floor retail, within the next few years. If this happens, Well Foods would be forced to move. To learn more, read this Somerville News article. There will be a public hearing on this matter next Thursday, May 19th, at 6pm in the Aldermanic Chambers at City Hall, 93 Highland Ave. However you view this issue, let your voice be heard.
