Mayor Talks Assembly Row in Video

Also, check out a recent Boston Globe column about the real estate development, which says, "You can see why Tom Menino and Marty Walsh would hate this place."

Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone is the most recent interview subject in the "Faces of Assembly Row" video series.

The series, produced by Powderhouse Productions for Federal Realty Investment Trust, Assembly Row's developers, explores the various people who have made the massive real estate development possible.

You can watch the recent video above or see it here.

It provides a good synopsis, with some handy maps, renderings and photos, of how Assembly Row fits into the Somerville landscape.

You should want to check out a recent column in the Boston Globe that discusses "this new mini-city, rising in the shadow of Boston." It includes quotes from Curtatone, Boston Mayor-elect Marty Walsh and Don Briggs, president of Federal Realty. It's worth a read.
