Joshua Tree in Davis Square Gets 'Makeover,' Updated Menu

The bar will be closed until Dec. 26, according to an announcement from Joshua Tree.

Joshua Tree, one of Davis Square's main watering holes, is getting a "makeover," according to an announcement from the restaurant and its website.

This comes after the sports bar, which opened in 1997, recently updated its menu to include "more chef driven, fresh, and local dishes," the announcement says.

The makeover will include a new layout and "updated decor" that will include commissioned pieces of art, according to the announcement.

Joshua Tree is also getting a new HD projector and a a fancy new draft beer system with 32 taps, the announcement says.

All of this means the bar will be closed until Dec. 26, and there will be a special "welcome back" party on New Year's Eve (you can get tickets here).
