Free Pinkberry Froyo in Davis Square Thursday

Davis Square will be binging on frozen yogurt when Pinkberry celebrates its opening Thursday night.

Pinkberry, the international frozen yogurt chain, is opening a branch in Davis Square, and to celebrate, it's offering three hours of free frozen yogurt on Thursday night.

From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the froyo company will be "swirling free frozen yogurt," according to an announcement from Pinkberry. There will also be giveaways, a DJ and a ribbon cutting.

The company will also make a donation to the Somerville Homeless Coalition.

At 263 Elm St., Pinkberry will be the third frozen yogurt store in the immediate area. iYo Cafe is at 234 Elm St. and Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt is at 260 Elm St. All three froyo parlors are within about 320 feet of each other. Orange Leaf is about 45 paces from Pinkberry.

Pinkberry will open for regular business Friday morning at 10 a.m., according to the announcement.
