FIRST LOOK: Legoland Discovery Center Boston

Take a sneak peek inside the 44,000-square-foot indoor attraction, which is set to open May 23.

When complete, Legoland Discovery Center Boston in Somerville’s Assembly Row will have two Lego rides, a 4D cinema, multiple play areas, a miniland with Boston and Somerville’s iconic buildings and more (attractions overview).

In all, the 44,000-square-foot center will be home to more than 3 million Legos.

Construction was ongoing Tuesday (it was estimated at roughly 60 percent done), as press was allowed in to see what’s in the works. The center is set to open Friday, May 23 (tickets may go on sale online as soon as Thursday, March 13).
