Cavalia to Hold Two-Day Hiring Session in Somerville

The equestrian circus performs under the largest touring tent in the world, and it will be in Somerville for at least eight weeks. It needs workers.

Cavalia, the folks behind Odysseo, a massive equestrian circus that's coming to Somerville in August, is looking to hire part-time workers, and it's holding a two-day interviewing session at the end of July.

According to an announcement from the city of Somerville, Cavalia has agreed "to give preference to Somerville residents" during its interviews, which take place on July 29 and July 30.

They'll take place at Cavalia's big-top tent at 101 Grand Union Boulevard in Assembly Square—behind the Home Depot.

The announcement and Cavalia's website say Cavalia is looking to hire a number of people, including ushers, parking attendants, cashiers, bussers, bartenders, dishwashers, kitchen attendants, stable assistants, runners , drivers and people to work in the box office and stores.

Work starts on Aug. 5 and would continue for at least seven weeks. Depending on ticket sales, the show could be continued for a total run of 12 weeks, the announcement says.

If you're interested, you can apply online at Cavalia's website.
