In other restaurant news from around Somerville, Barisomo opens in Arlington and another Southern comfort cuisine joint comes to Boston.

South End

Five Horses Tavern Coming into Former Columbus Cafe Space
The South End will welcome a new bar and restaurant to Columbus Avenue in the coming months, in the space once occupied by Columbus Cafe. Five Horses Tavern, a Somerville restaurant located in Davis Square, is expanding with a second location at 535 Columbus Avenue in the South End.

As if the opening of Cinquecento wasn't enough for the foodies of the South End, Estelle's, a new southern-comfort inspired modern eatery, opened for business in early December. Located at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Tremont Street (782 Tremont St.) the new restaurant is under the direction and expertise of partner Brian Poe of Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake and executive chef Eric Gburski of Cambridge's East Coast Grill.
