Melaa! A Celebration of Nepali Culture
Somerville has a thriving Nepali community, and the Melaa festival will feature food, music, culture and film. You can try goat curry and momos, watch traditional dancing and even hear Nepalese hiphop. The festival begins Saturday at 4 p.m. in Union Square.

Boston Comedy Fest
The Boston Comedy Festival wraps up Saturday with the final round of the best standup competition, hosted by Lenny Clarke and Judah Friedlander. The finals start at 8 p.m. at Somerville Theatre.

Union Square Walking Tour
Ed Gordon, New England chapter president of the Victorian Society of America, will lead a walking tour of Central Hill, Prospect Hill and Union Square, highlighting the historic homes and buildings. The tour is free, and it begins Sunday at 3 p.m. at City Hall.

First Church Somerville Block Party
Rev. Jeff Mansfield will be installed as a pastor at First Church Somerville Sunday at 3:15 p.m. Afterward, there will be a block party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with music, face painting a barbecue and kids activities.

Food Truck Festival at Suffolk Downs
Check out 20 food trucks, live music, children's activities and, yes, racing at Suffolk Downs. The food truck festival is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
