Alloy Orchestra writes and performs live music for classic silent films. It's touring the country, and this weekend it's in Somerville to accompany Buster Keaton short films. It's at Somerville Theatre Saturday at 8 p.m.

This documentary depicts the struggle to rescue bears in China. It's the Boston premiere, and it's Saturday at Somerville Theatre at 7 p.m.

In The Blood: A Film About Maine Lumbermen
This documentary depicts, with original and rarely seen footage, the lives of Maine's lumbermen and river drivers at the turn of the 20th century. If you're interested in New England history you won't want to miss this. It screens at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Somerville Public Library and is sponsored by Friends of the Somerville Public Library.

Lilly Testa Live
Lilly Testa, according to the listing, "will be performing a cross-section of classic R&B tunes, classic jazz standards and some new popular music hits with special guest performances and duets to shake things up." It's Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

The Hi-Tone Ramblers play some old-time music Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Street Art Center. 

Playing for Pups II! Ultimate Freeze Dance Competition
Okay, this takes place in Boston, but some of you might be interested. It's a dance competition, and the listing says, "It is an ULTIMATE test of dance stamina, skills, and a will to win it!
