This Weekend in Somerville: Boston Handmade Marketplace, Comedian Joey Carroll

The 6th Annual Boston Handmade Marketplace
Local New England artists and craftspeople will be selling hand-made art, jewelry, home goods, pottery, prints, textiles and other crafts. It's Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Union Square. The rain date is July 14.

Comedian Joey Carroll
Described as a cross between George Carlin and Dennis Miller, Joey Carroll has performed on Comedy Central and at the Boston Comedy Festival. He'll be joined by other comics Saturday at Davis Square Theatre. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Joy Street 2nd SatARTdays!
There are over 100 artists in the Joy Street studios, and on Saturday they'll be sharing their work and processes, and they'll be doing demonstrations. It's from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 86 Joy St.

Learn How To Be an Action Movie Star
This workshop, taught by veteran stuntman and movie director Matt Martino, is for directors, actors and "Indiana Jones wanna bes," according to the listing. Basically, it's for anyone who wants to learn about making action movies. The workshop is at 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

Boston-Somerville Summer Vinyl Palooza
This sale includes "thousands and thousands of vintage to modern LPs, 45s, 12-inch singles, CDs, tapes, posters, books" and more, according to the listing. It's at the Holiday Inn Sunday starting at 10 a.m.
