Also, give hockey a try for free, visit museums for free, and check out one of this season's last outdoor farmers markets for free (unless you buy something).

Crazy beards will be on display at BeardFest Saturday. There will be prizes in five categories, according to the event listing: "natural full beard, free-style full beard, free-style mustache, free-style partial beard, (which includes goatees, sideburns and any other creative combination of the above), and for follicle challenged, best fake beard."

There will also be food and drink, "scratchy music" and "whimsical prizes." It's at 3 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

The forum, "Supporting All Learners," will include a guest speaker, Debbie Lee Keenan, director of the Eliot Pearson Children's School at Tufts University. You can show up at 1:30 p.m. to sign in and get some food.

Try hockey
