'The Moth' Storytelling is Coming to Somerville

The popular live storytelling series comes to Somerville Theatre in April.

If you enjoy listening to "The Moth Radio Hour" on WBUR, mark April 11 on your calendar.

The Moth, which stages highly popular storytelling performances, is coming to the Somerville Theatre on that day according to WBUR's website.

The theme for the evening will be "learning curves," the website says, and a lineup of actors, writers and everyday folks will tell stories that explore the theme.

After the show, there will be an afterparty at Flatbread Company at Sacco's Bowl Haven, according to WBUR.

For those who have never listened to The Moth, it's worth checking it out online. The stories are often amusing, captivating and poignant.

If you like baseball, I recommend the story told in the YouTube video above. Stick with it for about seven or eight minutes; at that point it starts getting pretty funny.

Tickets go on sale beginning Feb. 27. See the WBUR website for more information.
