Hey Look, Somerville's on TV

FOX25 was in Somerville's Union Square Friday morning. Did you watch?

If you flipped through the TV channels Friday morning, you may have stopped at FOX25 and said to yourself, "Hey, that's my neighborhood!"

The local TV news team was broadcasting live from Somerville's Union Square from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. as part of its Zip Trips series, which visits and profiles different communities in New England.

I didn't catch the whole four-hour show, but I tuned in Friday morning to see what they were up to.

First, it looked rainy, but they still managed to wrangle up some die-hard Somerville residents for the live audience.

Among other things, they aired a segment in which they took a trip around the city, visiting Davis Square, Prospect Hill Monument, Boston Burger Company, Dilboy Stadium and the former Marshall Street garage, once the headquarters of the Winter Hill Gang and now a church.

Did you watch the show? What did you think?
