Somerville Museum hosts "Of Trolls & Men" Music from 18th-century Norway

The second concert in the Early Music Afternoons series at the Somerville Museum takes place on Sunday, November 9 at 3:30 PM in the Museum galleries at One Westwood Road.

Duo Maresienne -- Somerville residents Carol Lewis, viola da gamba and Olav Chris Henriksen, Baroque guitar and English guitar -- presents a delightful concert of folk songs and dances, sonatas and suites from 18th-century Norway. The featured composers include Schenck, Storm, Diesel and others, highlighting both mountain folk music and fairy tales to art music from the cities.
