$393 Million Approved to Bring Green Line to Union Square, Washington Street
The MassDOT Board of Directors approved a $393 million contract this week to construct Green Line stations and tracks in Somerville. With funding in place, the Green Line Extension should open in Union Square and Washington Street in 2017. The money will also fund a new Lechmere Station in Cambridge.
