Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone told reporters Thursday a run for governor was "absolutely" something he was considering. The mayor did not say when he would make a decision, but said it would be sometime "in the near future."

Long-Serving Somerville Priest Dies
Father Henry Jennings came to Somerville's St. Joseph's Parish in 1966, and over the next 46 years he presided over countless weddings, funerals, baptisms and services in his Union Square parish. On Saturday, Jennings passed away at the age of 83.

Early Morning Fire Strikes College Avenue Home
Nine people were displaced early Thursday morning by a fire at 151 College Avenue, near the Powder House Rotary, according to the American Red Cross of Massachusetts. Somerville Fire Chief Kevin Kelleher said the fire broke out at about 4:15 a.m. on the second-floor porch of the two-and-a-half story home. The fire extended to the upper floor of the building, causing approximately $60,000 in damage, he said.

Kids Go Gaga Over New Somerville Park
