Building Parapet Collapses on Beacon Street in Somerville
The parapet of 296 Beacon St., which is home to Zoe's Chinese Restaurant and Mixtura, collapsed Monday morning, strewing heavy rubble and concrete all over the sidewalk and closing the restaurants for at least a month.

Neil Young Puts on Surprise Performance in Davis Square
The rock and roll legend was in Davis Square Wednesday because his wife and her band were playing at Johnny D's. Mr. Young climbed on stage and surprised the audience with a new song.

City Wins Winter Hill Star Market Lawsuit
After a three-year legal battle between the city and the owner of the vacant Star Market building in Winter Hill, a judge with the Middlesex Land Court ruled in the city's favor. The city's planning board had denied the owner permits to bring an Ocean State Job Lot to the site. Questions remained about what would happen next with the property.
