Doctors Express, an urgent care center, is opening in Malden on Friday, March 21, after a ribbon-cutting ceremony the day before, according to a release from the company.

The center is moving into 219 Centre St. near Malden Center. Its co-owner, Scott Sheridan, grew up in Malden and now lives in neighboring Melrose.

“We are very excited to be a part of the community,” he said in a statement. “We encourage walk-in appointments for illnesses and injuries that can be treated outside of the traditional emergency room setting.
