Somerville's Community Cooks Offers Flexible Volunteering, Says TV Show

Elizabeth Shaw-Caffrey, a member of Somerville's Community Cooks, talked about the local food program on "Greater Somerville."

Somerville-based Community Cooks, for those who don't know, is "a network of volunteers offering home-cooked meals to hungry and vulnerable neighbors in our community."

In short, about 300 volunteers commit to preparing a home-cooked meal once a month, and Community Cooks partners with local organizations to make sure those in need receive the food.

Elizabeth Shaw-Caffrey, a member of Community Cooks, recently spoke with "Greater Somerville" host KyAnn Anderson to talk about the program and how it works.
