Somerville Remembers September 11

Somerville held its annual vigil to remember September 11.

Twelve years after September 11, Somerville held its annual vigil to remember that day.

After a procession down the Community Path, residents, officials and the Somerville Police and Fire Honor Guard gathered at Davis Square's September 11 Memorial for a moment of silence.

The memorial marks the spot where, in 2001, Somerville residents gathered to leave candles, flowers, mementos and handwritten notes to mourn the victims of the attack.
