Somerville Intersection Ranked ‘Most Dangerous’ in State

The intersection of Mystic Avenue and the Fellsway in Somerville has been ranked as the “most dangerous” intersection in the state and the third most dangerous one in New England in a recent study by GoLocal Worcester, an online publication.

The site’s methodology looked at total number of accidents, fatalities, injuries and property-damage-only crashes at each intersection.

The Mystic Avenue and the Fellsway intersection has a number of merging parts.

No shock here. Have come close a number of times to getting creamed by another vehicle plus close calls with vehicles in the wrong lane going in the wrong direction. No turn on red is a joke by the park. Many just go as if it was a green light.

Ya who ever designed this intersection should be fired. I've seen people under trucks and once had to take my shirt of cause this guy was bleeding so bad from being in a accident there .they should put some kind of delay lights down there cause people just try to beat the lights and that what causes a lot of accidents

Might be a good place to see a Statie (that's their jurisdiction I believe) every once in a while down there. In Everett near the Mall on Rt 16 there are a bunch of state police parked and then more again over by Kappys. A half mile in the Somerville direction might remove us from this inglorious list.
