Somerville High Students Talk Homework on TV Show

Some do it, some think it's a waste of time. Somerville Neighborhood News talked to students about their homework blues.

The recent episode of Somerville Neighborhood News, on SCATV, featured candid interviews with Somerville High School students about homework culture at the school.

Some are overwhelmed by homework, some are underwhelmed, and more than a few skip it at least some of the time.

A few Somerville High School teachers also weighed in on the matter, talking about their strategies for assigning homework.

You can watch the episode above. The segment on homework is 10:42 into the show.

Other topics covered in the episode include the New Year's Day flag raising on Prospect Hill, footage of Somerville's inaugural ceremonies and segments about a local jobs initiative and homelessness.
