MIT Students to Strip Down to Skivvies for Sean Collier Fund

The charity event is Saturday, April 19.

Underwear-clad MIT students will run nearly a mile to raise money for a Sean Collier scholarship fund.

Collier, an MIT police officer, was allegedly killed last April by the Boston Marathon bombing suspects. A Wilmington native, Collier had been an auxiliary police officer in Somerville – he received a badge from the department posthumously.

The students will run a “Nearly Naked Nearly Mile” for the Officer Sean Collier Self Sponsor Scholarship on Saturday, April 19, on campus, according to Boston.com. The scholarship will fund a Lowell Police Academy recruit every year.
