Hubway Closes in on 1 Million Rides
The popular Boston bicycle share system has been active since July 2011, and it's been in Somerville since 2012.

With the reach of Boston's bicycle share system growing this year, Hubway is on track to soon cross the 1 million ride threshold.
A July 3 tweet from @Hubway said, "Less than 43k trips until your 1 millionth Hubway ride!..."
Hubway opened in Boston on July 20, 2011 and came to Somerville in 2012. The service recorded 675,000 in its first two active years. The service shuts down between December and March or April, depending on weather.
