Five Things: Time Capsule, Diabetes Program

1) Somerville Time Capsule from 1950 to be Opened
There's a groundbreaking ceremony today at  Saint Polycarp Village. As part of the groundbreaking, the Somerville Community Corporation will be opening a time capsule created by second and third graders in 1950. The ceremony begins at 2 p.m.

2) Diabetes Self-Management at Mount Auburn Hospital
From the listing: "Mount Auburn Hospital is holding a free six-week program on diabetes self management. This program is designed for adults living with diabetes who want to learn more about disease complications, healthy eating, exercise choices, medication and dealing with stress." The program starts today at 1 p.m.

3) Computer Basics for Parents
This program is at the East Somerville Community School's Edgerly location at from 6 to 8 p.m.

4) Beginner Tango with Fernanda Ghi & Guillermo Merlo
According to the listing, "This class if for people who have never danced tango before! No partner is necessary and no previous dance experience of any kind is needed." It's at The Tango Society of Boston/Dance Union at 7 p.m.
