June is the last month of the fiscal year, which means it's budget season. The Board of Aldermen are holding a special meeting about the fiscal year 2013 budget tonight at 6 p.m. at .

4) Financial literacy graduates
While seniors graduate tonight, a handful of students have already passed a financial literacy program at the high school, according to an email sent on behalf of , which runs the program. The CSBsmart program taught students about budgeting, savings, managing a checking account, credit smarts and fraud smarts, the email says.
