1) Somerville Salon
Today's Somerville Salon will look at art in public spaces, including things like flash mobs and guerrilla art. James Cobalt, a flash-mob organizer, and Mary Goodman, who organizes semi-underground events, will talk. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

2) Urban Chickens 101
The Somerville Garden Club will host Somerville resident Khrysti Smyth, who will talk about raising chickens in an urban setting. It starts at 7 p.m. at 167 Holland St.

3) Volunteer training for Somerville Public Schools
Learn how to volunteer to help support learning in Somerville Public Schools. The session is at 8:30 a.m. at the Argenziano School. Learn some more here.

4) Clean energy forum in Peabody
If you're interested in clean energy in Middlesex County, you may want to attend a regional clean energy forum this morning. It's run by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and it's from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Torigian Community Life Center, 79 Central Street, Peabody. (The forum will also discuss energy in Essex County.)
