Five Things: Somerville's White House Intern, Golfing for Cancer Research

1) Somerville's White House Intern
Daniel Negless, a Tufts student from Somerville, has been selected to be a White House intern this fall, according to an announcement from the White House. Congratulations Daniel! (Also, when you come back to Somerville, please bring some White House stationary. I could use some of that. No need to ask why.)

2) Somerville residents golf for cancer research
Tim Darr and Lucas Badinsky were among the Somerville residents who participated in the 30th annual Jimmy Fund Classic golf tournament, which was held in Bolton on Oct. 1. The golfers helped raise more than $6.4 million for cancer research.

3) Alzheimer's talk
Mary Demakes, who has over 20 years experience caring for Alzheimer's patients, will give a talk at the Somerville Council of Aging at 1 p.m.
