Five Things: September 11 Vigil, Garden Club Fundraiser

Also, a call for artists and a Healey School welcome party.

1)
Somerville will hold a candlelight procession and vigil tonight to recognize the 11th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. The vigil begins at 6:30 p.m. at the on Cedar Street. The procession will head down the path into Davis Square, where there will be a moment of silence and a short speaking schedule.

2)
If you eat a pizza tonight at , proceeds will benefit the Somerville Garden Club, which maintains landscaping at Somerville's libraries and other public areas and offers monthly gardening lectures, among other things.

3) Healey School welcome party
The is holding a welcome-back party for families this evening from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to an email sent on behalf of the school. The principal and assistant principal will great families every hour on the hour, and families will be able to learn about new things happening at the school. There will also be activities for kids and a chili cook off (bring food to share).

4) Malden River Festival artist call
Somerville artists who want to exhibit at the Malden River Festival, which takes place Sept. 22, have until Friday to apply (it's free). To apply, email Penny at pmpanoulias@preotlelane.com.

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox play the Yankees tonight at Fenway at 7:10 p.m. Today will be sunny with a high around 70.
