Five Things: Sculpture to Wear

Plus, some softball, a free museum, a Somerville resident earns a scholarship, and it's going to be hot. Quite hot.

1) Trunk Show and Meet the Designer: Sculpture To Wear
Ilana Krepchin, a designer and jewelry maker, will be at Whats-Nü! in Davis Square (67 Holland St.) at 6 p.m. In addition to Krepchin's "Sculpture to Wear' jewelry, there will be air conditioning.

2) Somerville Tsunami 14B
The girls fastpitch softball team plays the Waltham Summer Hawks at Trum Field at 6 p.m.

3) Free Fun Fridays at The JFK Library and Museum
Visit the JFK Library and Museum for free today as part of Free Fun Fridays.

4) Somerville Resident Wins Scholarship
Somerville resident Nate Simmons received a $1,000 scholarship from Citizens Bank to help him attend the Tufts University School of Medicine, according to an email from the bank. The TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship recognizes students whose volunteer work has helped the community, the email says. Congratulations.

5) Weather
Today will be sunny and hot, with a high around 101. Oh boy.
