Five Things: Pets in Need Silent Auction

1) Pets in Need silent action
Pets in Need, a Somerville-based all-volunteer animal rescue, hosts its 15th annual silent auction Friday night. The auction is at 7 p.m. at the Somerville City Club. Check out this video about Pets in Need shot for their 2010 silent auction.

3) An evening of poetry
Hosted by Richard Wilhelm, hear poems by Jody Azzouni, Richard Smyth and Jessie Brown. It's at 6:30 p.m. at The Book Shop in Ball Square.

3) Music of Morocco and Al-Andalus
Enjoy an evening of classical and contemporary Arab music. It's at 8 p.m. at the Granoff Music Center at Tufts University.

4) New assorted duets
Earlier in the day, hear music composed by Tufts students. This concert is at 12 p.m., also at the Granoff Music Center at Tufts University.

5) Weather
