Five Things: Mystic River Watershed Association's 40th Birthday, Big Lynx is Lost

1) Mystic River Watershed Association 40th Anniversary
The Mystic River Watershed Association celebrates its 40th birthday today at the organization's annual meeting. There will be a talk, "Telling the Mystic River's Story," along with cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and a keynote talk by Tim Purinton, director of the Division of Ecological Restoration for the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game. 2) Claude Bourbon: Medieval and Spanish blues
Classical guitarist Claude Bourbon offers a fusion of classical, jazz, Eastern, Western folk, Spanish and Latin sounds. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

3) Have you seen Big Lynx?
Big Lynx, a kitty who lives on Parker Street near the Argenziano School, was missing as of Wednesday. If you see her, call (617) 599-9865. She can be lured with treats.

Jessica Rodriguez posted an announcement seeking volunteers to help out at a fundraiser for her cousin, who has leukemia. They're hosting an event on Oct. 27, according to the announcement, and are looking for people to do face painting or serve as clowns to entertain kids. Some more here.
