Five Things: Love Scenes from the Opera

Also, news from the car-sharing industry, an open mic for "queer/genderqueer/transgender folks and their allies" and it's time to gear up for the Boston Marathon.

1) School for Lovers: An Evening of Opera Scenes
The Tufts Opera Ensemble performs love scenes from favorite operas, from classics like the Marriage of Figaro to newer classics like West Side Story. It's at 8 p.m. at the Granoff Music Center at Tufts University.

2) Enterprise Car Sharing
Enterprise is the newest entry into the car-sharing business, at least here in Somerville. The company, most well known for its rental car operations, bought Mint Cars On-Demand in May, and now those Mint cars, located in places like Davis Square, Porter Square and Harvard Square, will be Enterprise cars, according to an email sent on behalf of Enterprise.

3) WHWN Open Mic
From the listing: "This is an all-gender open mic event for queer/genderqueer/transgender folks and their allies. We welcome the queer and queer-allied community to join us as we create and hold space for folks to read their own words." It's at 7 p.m. at Unity Somerville outside Davis Square.

4) Run the Boston Marathon with Mass. Eye and Ear
