Five Things: Hydrant Flushing, Infrared Mapping

1) Hydrant Flushing could cause discolored water
The will be inspecting they city's fire hydrants from Aug. 6 to 18. In addition, the is conducting flushing of fire hydrants throughout the summer and fall. This could cause water in your home to appear rusty, but it is safe to drink. If you see rusty water, run the faucet until the water runs clear. If your laundry gets stained, do not put the clothes in the dryer. Call 311 and the city will give you a bottle of rust remover.

As part of Free Fun Fridays, people can get free admission to the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's performance of Coriolanus. The performance begins at 8 p.m. at the Parkman Bandstand on Boston Common. The show runs about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and parental discretion is advised.
