2) Girl Scout Cookie Day 
Today is Girl Scout Cookie Day. According to an email from the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, the cookie sale is a $790 million operation. Also, this year cookie packages are getting a new look, the email says. Learn more here: hergirlscouts.org.

3) The Dapper Gentleman Tie & Pocket Square Sewing Workshop
According to the listing: "In this three-hour workshop we'll teach you how to stitch a professionally finished tie and matching pocket square. We'll also cover the various ways you can fold a pocket square and tie a tie." It starts at 2 p.m. at the Boston Vintage Factory. Contact Boston Vintage Factory about possible cancelations.

4) Tufts Composers Presents Sound Icon
From the listing: "Boston’s 21st Century Sinfonietta presents incisive works by Pierluigi Billone (United States premiere), Olga Neuwirth, Giulio Castagnoli (United States premiere), and graduate and undergraduate thesis compositions by Tufts composers Michael Laurello and Deniz Tetik."
