1) OPENSOUND: improvised and experimental music
Leave your preconceived ideas about music at the door, and hear what musicians can do with electric crackles, gurgling, hissing, blowing and other unique sounds. It's at Third Life Studio in Union Square at 7:30 p.m.

2) Blue Cloud Gallery Hosts Jewelry Artist Sarah Beardslee
Sarah Beardslee, a jewelry artist, makes beaded bracelets with her daughter, and her work is featured at Blue Cloud Gallery in Ball Square. Check it out beginning at 11 a.m.

3) Wine and beer tasting
Also in Ball Square, head to Ball Square Fine Wines and Liquors to sample some fun beer and wine. Tastings begin at 4:30 p.m.

4) Tango bar milonga
First, there's a crash course in tango for beginners, then there's party with empanadas, dulce de leche and other special Argentine food. You can dance the night away until 1 a.m. at The Tango Society of Boston in Union Square. Begins at 8 p.m.

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox play the Orioles today at 7:10 p.m. Today will be mostly sunny with highs around 70.
