Five Things: Clothing Drive, Project Bread Grants

Five Things to know in Somerville today.

1) Lincoln Tech winter 2012 clothing drive for Second Chances
From the listing: "Your used clothing, shoes and accessories can make a positive difference in another person's life. Please help people in need in our community and support a local nonprofit by donating your un-needed clothing, shoes and accessories to Second Chances." The clothing drive begins today at Lincoln Technical Institute and runs through Dec. 14.

2) Project Bread grants
At least four Somerville non-profits received grants from Project Bread, which works to end hunger. Project Bread made $986,400 worth of grants, raised from its annual Walk for Hunger event. Read more here.

3) School Committee meeting
The School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. at Somerville City Hall.
