1) Calling Somerville Republicans
Somerville Republican City Committee Chairman Brian McCarthy would like people to know about a new e-mail address. If you are interested in joining the Committee, you can contact him at gopSomerville@aol.com. All Republicans are welcome, McCarthy said, and he will even help Independents and Democrats join.
2) DREAM Program gets grant
The DREAM Program, a mentoring program that works with youth in Somerville, Cambridge and Roxbury, received an $8,280 grant from the state, according to an announcement from the program, which will use the money to connect local young people with college students.
3) Studio G gets awards
Studio G, based in Somerville and part of the Grossman Marketing Group, which has seven offices across the country, received five design awards from this year from Graphic Design USA’s annual competition, according to an announcement sent on behalf of the firm. Congratulations.

4) Somerville School Committee
The School Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. at Somerville City Hall.
5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox play the Yankees tonight at 7:05 p.m. There's a chance of showers today, and highs will be around 70.
