2) Door2Door gets $22K from Tufts Health Plan
The Tufts Health Plan Foundation donated $22,400 to Somerville's to the Arts program, according to an announcement from the foundation. Door2Door's program brings adults who can't drive to arts and cultural events.

Maybe this explains why everyone's health care costs are spiraling out of control. A health plan company is spending $22,000.00 to transport people to arts events? Really?

Marie, you would be surprised at the impact social interaction can have on an individual who is housebound and isolated. By supporting people in their homes you keep them out of nursing facilities which on average cost more than 5k / month
