Somerville-based Groups Perform at Holiday Arts & Eats

The first-ever Holiday Arts & Eats festival at Somerville’s Assembly Row, held on December 6th-7th-and 8th, drew in approximately 6,000 attendees over the course of its 3 days. It featured over a dozen Food Trucks (including Somerville’s own, Kickass Cupcakes, PennyPackers, and The Bacon Truck), 50 local handmade and Etsy artisans, children’s activities, live performances, and more. Among the performers were Somerville’s own high school band, The Eight Tracks, a new Somerville-base a cappella group, and Waldo, a musical group from Tufts University.

Waldo is an alternative rock band made up of students from Tufts University. They performed Friday evening at ‘Arts & Eats After Dark.’ On Saturday, a group of nine students from the Somerville High School Band performed at the festival, led by music teacher Richard Romanoff. The Eight Tracks are Somerville’s newest a cappella group. After their debut performance at the Hard Rock Café last month, they performed at Holiday Arts & Eats on Sunday, December 8th.
