Somerville SPED PAC Workshop Spanish Series

The Somerville Special Education Parent Advisory will holding a first in a series of Spanish Workshops for parents/guardians presented by Adriana Guereque

All workshops will be held at the East Somerville Community School Café. A light dinner will be provided by the SPS Afterschool Program at 5:30pm. Workshops begin at 6pm Childcare will be provided by calling Kathleen Houghton, by 3pm the day of the workshop at 617-625-6600 ext 6847

“Why are you here and what is an IEP?”

                                                                ·         Very simple explanation about what a disability is and why they are not going away.

                                                                ·         What an IEP is and what the process is for evaluation and 3 year testing, etc.

                                                                ·         Why a child may need and IEP.
