this talk, Linda will introduce the basics of Social Thinking and share
teaching strategies and ideas that she uses in her social pragmatics groups at
Peer Projects. Topics covered will include: 

·         The
difference between teaching Social Thinking and teaching social skills

·         Using
declarative language to teach Social Thinking

·         Social
Thinking vocabulary – examples and how to use it effectively

·         Implementing
Social Thinking across the day

·         Example
activities to practice ideas such as reading nonverbal communication, perspective
taking/theory of mind, &being flexible.

will also share many of her favorite Social Thinking resources including The
Zones of Regulation

and Whole Body Listening Larry.
