SATURDAY, AUGUST 31st 1-3 p.m.

Record-Breaking Numbers Expected to Simultaneously Participate in

Free DIY Event at 140 A.C. Moore Stores

Chances are if you know or have been near an elementary, middle or high schooler, you have seen one of the hottest trends in recent years, colorful, woven stretch band bracelets.  The neon, rainbow and brightly hued bracelets are made by kids out of small stretchy “rubber” bands into several patterns.

According to Robin Beam, director of education for A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts Stores, (www.acmoore.com) the materials to make them are flying off of the shelves, but not everyone is comfortable trying different patterns and styles.  “We wanted to create a FREE mass event, available to anyone who can come to one of our 140 stores, so they can learn for themselves how easy it is to make a basic stretch band bracelet using your hands and a crochet hook!.”  On Saturday, August 31st from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., local A.C. Moore specialists will have all materials on hand so anyone coming to a store can make a bracelet for FREE.

In addition to the rainbow of regular stretch bands, plus neon, glow in the dark, glitter and scented,  A.C. Moore stores will have stretch band organizer cases with 24 compartments and stretch band loom tools available for purchase.  For more information and to locate the store nearest to you, visit, www.acmoore.com.
