Found Cat

This cat (without tags) has been hanging around Beacon Place in Somerville for the past few weeks. I fed it some turkey today but didn't want to take it in case it belongs to a neighbor. Anyone?

Michael Witten: There are several organizations in Somerville that can help with this cat. He's most likely a lost or stray cat. The best group to call is: CHARLES RIVER ALLEY CATS at 617-945-2430. Leave them a message saying it's urgent & explain what you posted & that you don't normally do cat rescue work, so you don't know what to do & you don't want something bad to happen to the kittty.

I would try kitty connection 781-393-9995 or Pets In Need 617-718-0943. If she is friendly maybe you can help "catch" her once you are able to make arragements with a shelter who can take her in.

Please feed this cat some real cat food and please bring her/him into your home and contact a local rescue such as those listed above. If the cat is clean looking and friendly it is very likely they are lost. If you can get him/or a Vet to see if they have a micro chip that would be VERY helpful. Another local rescue is PAWS in Lynnfield, MA. I rescued a pregnant female off the street a year ago and they took her in immediately and found homes for the Mom and all of her kittens.
