Newtown Prayer

When on an emotional overload, I write. Watching my students on stage last week for their Holiday Show was overwhelming. I thought about the tremendous loss in Newtown, so I wrote this poem.

Twinkle Twinkle Angel Star Newtown Prayer

Twinkle Twinkle Angel Star

Now I know just who you are

Rocking children to and fro

That's what makes your halo glow

Twinkle Twinkle Angel Grace

Kiss them on their baby face

Now I lay me down to sleep

Knowing in your hands they keep

If I should wonder where they are

I'll look towards heaven for your star
