Women Fighting Hunger, Winter Hill Bank Receives Accolades

Five things to know in Somerville on Sept. 20, 2013.

1) Greater Boston Food Bank's Women Fighting Hunger Breakfast
On Sept. 12, Somerville resident Catherine D'Amato, president and CEO of the Greater Boston Food Bank, joined 300 local business and community leaders for the annual Women Fighting Hunger Breakfast. They presented an award to chef Jody Adams.

2) Winter Hill Bank Receives Accolades 
Winter Hill Bank recently received an "outstanding" Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) rating from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, according to an announcement from the bank. Congratulations.

3) Somerville Student to Perform at BeanTown Jazz Fest
Somerville student Gustav Hossain-Endl will be performing with the Berklee City Music All-Stars Big Band Jazz Ensemble at this year's BeanTown Jazz Fest, according to an announcement from the Berklee College of Music. You can learn more at beantownjazz.org.
