Theatre@First Performs 'Top Girls'

Five things to know and do in Somerville on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014.

1) Theatre@First presents "Top Girls"
The play explores issues around being a career-minded, "successful" woman. Tonight's performance starts at 7 p.m. at Davis Square Theatre (255 Elm St., under Foundry on Elm). 

2) Republican City Committee Meeting
At this meeting, the committee will elect delegates to the Republican State Convention in March. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Somerville Library, 79 Highland Ave.

3) Property Assessment Info Session
Paying too much in property taxes? The city is hosting an informational meeting tonight about how assessments are conducted and how to make appeals. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the West Somerville Neighborhood School, 117 Powder House Blvd.

4) Project BILD Research Study at MIT 
Some researchers at MIT and Boston University are conducting a study on learning and language use. They're looking for children between the ages of 5 and 17 to participate. Click on the link above to learn more.
