Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' and Land Use Meetings

Five things to know and do in Somerville on Sept. 19, 2013.

1) Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
Theatre@First opens its performance of "Twelfth Night" tonight at 8 p.m. at Unity Somerville, 6 William St. There will also be performances on Sept. 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28.

2) Land Use Committee
The Somerville Board of Aldermen's Land Use Committee meets tonight to discuss a number of important issues, including a proposed moratorium on medical marijuana facilities, supermarket zoning, and affordable housing linkage fees. There will also be public hearings on zoning amendments that would affect Union Square, Winter Hill and the area near Cambridge's North Point. There are technically two meetings scheduled. The hearings are at 6 p.m., and the other issues will be discussed at 6:45 p.m. The meetings take place at City Hall.

3) My Favorite Thing(s): Bring Back to Life a Favorite Piece of Clothing
Bring your favorite but worn out piece of clothing to Whats-Nü in Davis Square, and then discuss how to bring it back to life or recreate it. It's at 6 p.m. at 67 Holland St.

4) Somerville Adult Evening School Registration
Registration takes place tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Somerville High School main office, 81 Highland Ave. You can also contact Sophia Carafotes, the principal, at (617) 628-2594, or you can register online at somerville.k12.ma.us/eveningschool.
