New Features: Letters to the Editor and Somerville High School Open Blog

Five things to know and do in and around Somerville on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.

1) Post Letters to the Editor
Got an opinion or something to say? You can now post letters to the editor, as they're commonly known, directly on Somerville Patch. This guarantees your letter will get on the site, and it happens instantly. You can start posting here. You'll need to sign into Somerville Patch, click the "blogs" tab at the top of the page, and select the "letters to the editor" blog. If you post one, send an email to chris.orchard@patch.com so I can highlight it on the site.

Community Blog About Somerville High School
We've started an open, community blog about Somerville High School. This is an area where you can post about sports, achievements, school news or anything else related to Somerville High School. Anyone can post. Learn more here.

3) Secrets & Motion
This performance, by the Luminarium Dance Company, kicks off tonight at 8 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

4) Somerville Residents in "Les Mis"
Two Somerville residents, Chris Brousseau and Lori L’Italien, will perform in the Woodland Theatre Company's production of "Les Misérables" on Oct. 4, 5 and 6. The performance is in Medfield, and you can learn more at woodlandtheatre.com.

5) Weather
Showers and possible thunderstorms with a high around 74. Rain could be heavy at times.
