Let's Go to the Rat! And Celebrating 'I Have a Dream' in Boston

Five things to know and do in and around Somerville on Aug. 28, 2013.

1) Let's Go to the Rat! Documentary Film Benefit Concert
This benefit concert will feature performers that played The Rathskeller, a famous Kenmore Square venue that hosted bands like the Police, the Ramones the Talking Heads and the Pixies in the 1970s, '80s and '90s. Tonight's concert, at Johnny D's, benefits a film about "the Rat," as the venue was known. It begins at 7:30 p.m.

2) "I Have a Dream" 50th Anniversary Concert
Head to the Hatch Shell in Boston today to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. It starts at 7 p.m.

3) Crowdfunding East Conference
Speakers at this conference include founders of crowd-funding platforms, investors, lawyers, and entrepreneurs who have used crowd-funding to raise money. It's at 9 a.m. at the Harvard Faculty Club, 20 Quincy St., Cambridge.

4) Accessibility Meeting
If you missed it, there's a meeting tonight about accessibility and ADA compliance in Somerville. The meeting is at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

5) Weather
A chance of thunderstorms with a high around 81.
